DyeFree ("the App") helps users identify artificial food dyes in restaurant menu items. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Data We Collect

Data stored locally on your device only:

• Favorite restaurants
• Dye avoid list preferences
• Family profile names and preferences
• Saved meal orders
• Streak and challenge progress
• Notification preferences
• Subscription status

All of the above data is stored exclusively on your device using local storage (SharedPreferences). We do not transmit, collect, or store any of this data on external servers.

Data We Do NOT Collect

• Personal information (name, email, phone number, address)
• Location data
• Contacts or call logs
• Photos or camera data (the scanner feature processes images on-device only)
• Browsing history
• Device identifiers for tracking purposes

Subscriptions and Payments

Premium subscriptions are processed entirely through Google Play. We do not collect, store, or have access to your payment information (credit card numbers, billing address, etc.). All payment processing is handled by Google. Please refer to Google's Privacy Policy for details on how Google handles payment data.

Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services:

• Google Play Billing - for processing subscription payments
• Google Play In-App Review - for optional app rating prompts
• Google ML Kit - for on-device text recognition in the scanner feature (no data is sent to Google servers)

Children's Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The family profiles feature stores only a display name and emoji chosen by the user, and this data remains on the device.

Data Retention and Deletion

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you can delete all App data at any time by clearing the App's data in your device settings or by uninstalling the App.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
